  1. Why did CTRL+Z delete my file folder without a trace?

I was attempting to undo an action in InDesign, but had mistakenly selected my file folder that I was pulling files from into my project. Apparently, pressing CTRL Z in the file explorer deletes whatever is selected, and since I went into InDesign after deleting this, CTRL Y didn't work. I checked my recycle bin and nothing is there. This is ridiculously frustrating and cost me a ton of time... why on earth is this a thing?!?!!?

    :)

  2. 2020 and ctrl-z problem deleting folders continues

Ctrl+Z will undo the previous action, e.g.

    • When you insert a text into a Word document then Ctrl+Z will undo the insertion.
    • When you create a formula in a spreadsheet then Ctrl+Z will remove the formula.

It seems you expect Ctrl+Z to ask the user whether he really wants to undo the most recent action. This would constitute a major change of philosophy.
