    Why Did I Suddenly Lose Computers on The Network?


    We've got a home LAN. Five machines.

    I'm only talking about 2 of them right now.

    They are connected via a wifi broadband Telstra modem/router or 'gateway' as they call it.

    Every day I copy files between the two of them. Today they can't see each other. Don't show up in Explorer file tree under network.

    The only thing I've done is configure the router with a password for admin. It is a Telstra 800 gateway.

    Both machines access the internet fine.

    Both machines do show the other machine under 'media devices' on the explorer 'network' page. So they are aware of each other.

    Strikes me as weird behaviour.

    Can anyone explain to me what's happening?
