Windows 10: Why did my desktop wifi option disappear

Left my pc perfectly working, came back turned it on and no wifi. Also no option for wifi in the settings, network just shows hotspot and airplane mod.I assume this is becuase windows isn't detectinga wifi device. I looked and saw i had a windows update today, which I seem to be unable to uninstall.I guess I can factory reset but I don't want that.Now I dont know how I will be able to revert my update without internet, or install the new hotfix?

• Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?

Wifi option disappeared

The wifi option is disappearing. After I restart it will work for sometime then it disappears all of a sudden

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.

  Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.
  

Step 2: You may follow the steps and check if it helps in resolving the issue, as the device might be hidden.

    Press Windows key + X.
    
  • 
    Click on Device Manager.
    
  • 
    Click on View.
    
  • 
    Click on Show
    Hidden Devices.
    
  • 
    Search for the Bluetooth device.
