Windows 10: Why did my key assignment change without my consent?

Hi guys, so I used to hide all desktop icons by clicking the right mouse button then hitting v on my keyboard and then d - it used to select the 'view' option and eventually the 'show desktop icons' option

However since today, every time I'm trying to do it, it just goes to the display settings instead. What just happened and how can I revert it back?

The function "Change language bar hot keys " has a bug.

We would like to know more about your concern. Kindly provide us more details by answering the following questions:

• When did you start encountering the issue?
  
• Have you made any changes on your computer prior to this issue?
  
• Were the hotkeys settings on your Windows 10 computer ever worked before?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you reconfigure your hotkeys settings by setting your key sequence to Not Assigned. To do this refer to the steps below:

• Go to Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Language > Advanced Settings.
  
• Under Switching input methods, select Change language bar hot keys.
  
• Select Between input languages, and then click Change Key Sequence.
  
• Set Switch Keyboard Layout to Not Assigned.
  
• Restart your computer.

Once you're done with the process, you may then proceed to reconfigure your language bar hot keys to your desired settings. You may follow the steps above and select your preferred keyboard layout.

E65 My Own Key assignment list very limited

Anyone know why the functions/apps that can be assigned to the "my own key" are different (much more limited) than the functions/apps that can assigned on the Active Standby screen? Due to the much shorter list of possible things to assign to the key it
is clear Nokia intentionally hard-coded a specific list of apps. But why?

Unfortunately, my first two choices are not available. Loudspeaker would be terrific to always have available with a dedicated key. My second choice is Internet Telephone for VoIP but this isn't on the list either. Anyone found a way to assign other apps or
functions not on the default list? Could an application be written to expand the list?

 

One key has severe input lag but every other key is fine

The thing suggested by @lx07was yet another step of trouble shoot you need to perform to role out the hardware fail possibility than rather a topic for debate .
I honestly did not suggest it just because its level of technicality is a bit high and I am not quite sure about your level .
Yet however if you can do that step I can't see why not .
And yet even if you still manage to get lag you are down to the route I just discussed in my previous post , nothing more to do .

P.S I am not even sure what you mean that the button performs well if you change layout , the aussie & u.s layouts do not even acknowledge that button and most probably assigns a different function / key to which hints the conclusion of your test might be slightly biased
