Windows 10: Why did my photos and videos disappear after I copied it from SD card to windows video file?

Hello,I was importing photos from a SD card by a adapter and I had the stuff open on the file application. I dragged the files into the videos section. It made a copy so I deleted it off the SD card and ejected. All the videos and photos are gone from the SD card and there is nothing in the recycling bin. Did I do something wrong or is it something with the computer? Please send help

I am attempting to do the same thing.

Replace an SC card with a larger SD card on a Lumia 1520.

While I understand this explanation for apps, my photos, videos, and music are not being recognized. Storage sense lists photos and videos, however they are not available in the photo album, just black squares. The music is also listed under 'other, the
albums and songs show up in the music app, however none of the files will play. I have attempted to copy the data traditionally and with robocopy.

What would be the best way to achieve the desired result of having everything moved from one SD card to another?

How to save photos and videos from the phone memory to the SD card

"To save any new photos or videos to an SD card, go to Settings > Phone storage to save those on the SD card instead of the phone's memory."

This is not working in my Lumia 720. There is only 2 MB free space in phone memory. wen i try to send music or videos via bluetooth to my lumia, it starts copying to phone memory and wen the 2MB is consumed, the file transfer stops with an error. new photos
and videos captured in my phone camera seem to go to the memory card.. But how to send files copied via bluetooth directly to SD card...?

Try these suggestions:

I would suggest you to follow the below mentioned steps to upload the pictures in Windows 10 operating system:

If your media reader has several slots there will be several 'Removable Disks' listed. The SD card will be one of them

Click the correct drive letter, from the menu choose “Explore or Open”, now you would be able to see the directory of the memory card.

Now you would be able to drag/drop or copy/paste the files to a folder on your hard drive.

I put my sd card in then clicked on windows live photo gallery then click File, and then click on import photos and videos. I have windows live photo gallery on my desk top but it may be listed as a default as well.

Right click on Windows icon at lower left. Click on Control Panel, then Autoplay. Under Memory card, set default to Imports Pictures and Videos
