Windows 10: why did the projects erased themselves when i never erased them on Paint 3D?

i usually love to go to Paint 3D, have fun and make projects but when i opened it today all of my projects were gone. i was frustrated and heartbroken. i didn't want start all over. i have saved the projects but they erased for no reason. all those projects were valuable to me. is there any way to get all those projects that erased randomly, back? also can you explain why it removed my projects when i didn't even erase them myself.


in case you ask "has Paint 3D ever crashed on you?" no, it hasn't crashed on me ever.

To be able to perform the action Erasing parts of 3D models in 3D Paint, I recommend doing the following

Eraser: The eraser, despite its name, does not erase what you've already drawn so that parts of the model will return to a previous state (use History for that). Instead, the eraser tool removes every customization on the model while keeping the object intact,
useful for starting from scratch without any designs or colors.

Erasing parts of 3D models on Paint 3D?

I'm playing around with 3D modelling on paint 3d but can't seem to figure out how to erase parts of the models?

This the model itself, not painting on the model

Can anybody help? Can't find anything on this, no tutorialsat all

 

Paint 3D: Can't open project

We understand your concern as you are having difficulties with Paint 3D app on your PC. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the Version of Paint 3D installed on the PC?
  
• Did you try opening any other project or did you try to open the same project on a different device?
  
• Are you aware of any recent changes on the PC prior to this issue?

However, we would suggest you to perform step 1, 3 & 7 from this article:
Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store



If the issue persists, then we would suggest you uninstall and reinstall Paint 3D app.

1. Close Paint 3D app. Press
   Windows + X key.
   
2. Select Windows PowerShell (Admin)
   from the list.
   
3. Copy and paste this command:
   Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.MSPaint* | Remove-AppxPackage
   
4. Press Enter key and once the process completes, restart the PC.
   
5. After restart go to Microsoft Store and install
   Paint 3D.

If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check, refer this article to
create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.
