Windows 10: Why did Windows 10 delete my Adobe Photoshop folder?

Hi,

I was hoping I could get a response back concerning this. I was working on my computer as normal, and My shortcut to my (valid) Photoshop 7 suddenly didn't work. I went to c:\Program Files (x86), and I noticed that my "Adobe" folder had been deleted. I was able to get the installer to work via a sandbox, but it no longer launches in Windows 10. My *guess* is that Windows 10 deleted the folder because it is no longer compatible, but I did notice that it kept the registration information in the registry even though the folder was gone. I have it working again, but I am concerned that I may have an intrusion situation, so would like some feedback as to what may be going on.

I recommend you to uninstall the existing program, re-install it in compatibility mode on Windows 10 and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Download the updated software from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right click the software installation file and select
  Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
  
• Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click
  OK.
• Try installing the software and check.

Adobe Photoshop hangs

Photoshop starts to load, then hangs on "Reading Text Global Resources... Done" The problem started on Windows 7, so I hoped that when I changed to Windows 10 the problem would stop, but it still persists. The latest version of Photoshop is not for sale,
only for a lease on a monthly payment, so I didn't go for this, as I don't uses it often enough.
