Windows 10: Why did Windows 11 Search not find a file that was changed last week when I search for...

I did search for files changed last week so that I know what I need to backup now. However, Windows 11 did not find a .tt24 file TurboTax file for 2024 that is on my C: in a folder that is searched and the file extension ".tt24" is shown with a checkmark beside it in the Windows Search Settings Dialog Box "Advanced Options":"File Types". In this dialog box, when I select type tt24, it shows "Index Properties Only" is selected. I thought that this was sufficient to do search for changed files because the 'Date Modified' is a 'File Property'.

I've done some searching on here over the years, and mostly been aggravated at the results. Case in point: 5 minutes ago I went to search for anyone having issues with 5.1 audio on Wolfenstein new order. So, I started simple with
New Order
. that didn't go well. So, I swapped to "New Order". That gave me this result

Is there any way to change or improve our search engine? Or is there a better way to search for something like that?

 

Search in Windows 11 not searching within files

It appears that content search for Windows Search on Windows 11 is broken. On my own brand new machine I can search other files but not PDFs.. None of these rote and time consuming suggestions seems to work. I am curious is anyone, anywhere can search the contents (not file names) of PDFs with windows search in windows 11. From what I see posted on the internet the answer is no. But Microsoft will not acknowledge this as a bug.
