    Why did windows go back to previousversion


    When my windows failed to load stuck on welcome and after restarting and rebooting, a previous version came up but all the files were without ANY current info so a month worth of school work and projects are not there. I read a few blogs but NOTHING was helpful ****! How can I get my current stuff back even the screen is different. I CANNOT BELIEVE this happened AGAIN! This happened a month or so ago with the last upgrade. I backed up my files on my zip drive after the first debaucle but that won't help me get back my work from this week. You guys are KILLING ME!!

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
