Windows 10: Why did you delete my wallpaper photo? It was priceless, and you deleted it.

I had a personal photo for my wallpaper. Windows 11 replaced it with a solid black screen. The photo is gone, not in my Camera app, not in MS Photo Legacy, not on OneDrive, nowhere.How in the name of heaven did you think this was a good idea? Please explain. Tell me how you are better than Linux now that you have all these cutesie-poo apps like ClipChamp, and ThumbMunkey. Sorry, I use my computers to make a living. I don't need all the social media programs, television, movies, games, etc. you injected onto my computer when I "upgraded" to Windows 11.What an abysmal product you have made

Deleting photos in Windows 10

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

- Are you using Photo app or other app?

If you are referring to Photo app, follow the below steps and check.

[*]1. In the Photos app, go to the folder with the files you want to delete.
[*]2. Do one of the following:

• If you’re looking at your list of photos and videos, swipe down on or right-click the files you want to delete. You can also tap or click
  Select all.
  
• If you open a photo or video, swipe up from the bottom or right-click to see the app commands.
  

3. Tap or click
Delete.

• 
  

You can also delete photos using the Camera app, the OneDrive app, or File Explorer.

The above steps are the only way to delete the photos.

If you are referring to a different app or form different location, help us with more information.

Can't delete a private photo that was used a wallpaper

Hi,

I received from work a computer with Windows 10 OS. I used private photos as my wallpaper and now would like to delete them so the next person who uses the computer would not have these photos. I was able to delete the original photo I downloaded to the computer, but it still appears in the personalization menu so it can still be used as a wallpaper. How can I delete the photo completely so it won't appear on the personalization menu?

Explanations for deleted posts?

Like I said, it makes no sense in letting users see deleted posts, even if they are their own. That's why they were deleted in the first place. If they get to see who specifically deleted it, it only serves one purpose. Lets them bitch.
