Most useful functionality from Windows 10 is gone. Transparent copy/paste/overlay functionality is gone. Ability to crop when selecting image is gone.

Is copy/paste of transparancies in paint gone?

I'm trying to create a collage like image, but it seems the "transparencies" from a "free form select" wont copy between 2 open paint windows in W-10.

Is this a case of "won't any longer"?

Is it time to shed the Paint program for the extra disk space?

I have done multiple transparency work in W-7 paint before.

Am I missing or forgetting the trick I used before?

Paint is pretty useless without this simple feature.

I have more powerful drawing tools in freeware that isn't even a graphics program.

And I'm not buying anything so save the key strokes on those suggestions, thanks.

(But changing those files is a small pain.)

Also on the category questions for posting you have added choices to "windows version " that are
not versions. "Apps for W10" in "versions" should be in "Windows topics".

After much searching with version on W-10, I got lucky and noticed.

I should post this in security just to equal the nonsense of that choice.

"Windows Version" should only have various windows versions listed.

An edit to the title "Program Versions" would be more inclusive. and looking there becomes intuitive. (pre-windows IBM commercial art major, top of class 2 years. YOU are slacking)

I recommend Option 3 since it resets the paint application. Option 4 is the option for you if the others do not work. - *Smile
