I can't tell you what an absolute disaster Windows 11 is. * You badgered me till no end to upgrade when I was perfectly happy with Windows 10. * You turned on Onedrive synch to sync my local files to the cloud when I didn't want it.* You relocated the layout of ny docements in Windows explorer files/folders - I can't find things anymore. Can't tell what is local and what is on OneDrive.* One drive doesn't fully synch - it has been days and my files still aren't done syncing.* I can't cut and paste files in Windows explorer because OneDrive has sync issues. No One Drive sync

Equipment:

1. Microsoft 950 Windows Phone.
   
2. Microsoft Surface Pro 8 running Windows 11 Professional.
   
3. HP All-in-one Desktop running Windows 11 Professional.
   

Background:

I used One Drive to sync files between the Microsoft phone and the HP computer. I didn’t realize the Surface Pro was syncing to One Note until I transferred a folder (using a USB drive) to the Surface Pro and received a notice that that my One Drive was full. I deleted some files from both of my computers and One drive. The hurricane brought my work to an end and I don’t know what I did (step-by-step) prior to the shutdown.

Now:

Now I have no One Drive connection between the 3 Equipment items. How do I get back?

 

Notification didn´t appear

Windows 10 has ben released for 1 day and a half,and I didn´t get the notification for installing.I reserved it.Can anyone help me?

PS I am running Windows 7 and it´s up to date.

 

How in WIN 11 do I change the drive letter of the CD/ROM drive?

So this is what worked, step by step.

Reboot

Drive is listed as E: in file explorer.

Drive not listed in Disk Management.

Insert DVD, it plays after short pause.

Disk management now shows Audio CD as E:

Right click, change letter to R: (while playing!)

Reboot.

Drive now shows as BD-RE drive as R: in File Explorer.

The bottom line is

- File Explorer does not provide for changing drive letter afics.

- Disk Management seems to need a disk to be in the drive for it to "see" the drive. I can't recall is this is Win 10 behaviour

I don't recall having any difficulty with this in Win 10 (its possible that the Win 10 default drive allocation was "after" my external drives; or I "just changed it").
