Windows 10: Why did your support team tell me my license is pirated when all I needed to do was to swap...

Hi,


I called your support team after I saw errors with my license - after a MB swap.

I was told my license was pirated as it was activated very often and advised me to contact the shop I bought the license from.


this is however not true - I just put back my old MB and everything was fine again.


You gave me wrong info this cost me a lot of time - get your support personell trained for this please. This is not acceptable calling people scammers when they swap their mainboard is not nice ;


As soon as I gave the error I got this response - noone checked my license key at all but I am called a pirate by MS Support.

then I want to file a complaint - the next support person tells me the first case id I got is not valid and also filing complaints is not possible at Microsoft support... - 1013202083

So I hope I can spare someone some time if he reads this as Microsoft will not help you at all if you swap your MB and you get 0x803fa067.

MS Support will not even tell you that it will work with the old MB and just close the call.


This is not my shops responsibility or mine - if I want another MB and you want me to purchase a new license you can just say it - no need to call me a pirate to push me on spending another 250 euros on a license because noone helps me to solve my issue.


Furthermore you have to provide me a way to reset my MB count then - it is my problem what MB I want to use with my license not yours IMO!

Downgrading from a pirated Windows OS

You've already mangled your existing operating system by upgrading to a pirated version of Windows 10. Use your Windows 8.1 disk to do a new installation of your original Windows 8.1 operating system. If you have saved the product key from your original Windows 8.1 operating system, then use that product key again to install Windows 8.1.

You can downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 8, by following the instructions in the answers to this question: How can I downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 8?. Why not downgrade the pirated Windows 10 to Windows 8 instead and then change the product key and upgrade legally back to Windows 10? There are two reasons for not doing it this way:

1. Your new Windows 10 can inherit problems from the pirated version of Windows 10.
   
2. It's a two-step process to install Windows 8.1 and upgrade to Windows 10 instead of a four-step cumulative history: Windows 8.1 -> pirated Windows 10 -> downgrade pirated Windows 10 to Windows 8.1 -> upgrade to Windows 10. Even though the two-step method doesn't save any time, it still eliminates two unnecessary steps.

• Click Cortana or the circle icon.
• Click the Notebook icon, scroll down and click Sports.
• Click Add a team and start typing the name of a team.
• Select the results.
