Windows 10: Why do albums not show up in my Photo app in Windows 11

I purchased a new computer. Everything transferred smoothly.Except now when I go to my Photos app is doesn't show the albums I created, also there is no way to create any new albums. The task bar does not give that option. I have pasted photos of both below. How to I get the options I had on my old computer onto my new one?in windows 10 this is the top of the task bar:In windows 11 this is what it looks like:

photo app - How can I do a slideshow in an album? I only see the slideshow option outside of albums.

I suggest you to follow the below steps for the slideshow option and check if it helps.

  Open the “Photo App”
  
• 
  Go to any three options “Collection”, “Albums” and “Folders”.
  
• 
  Click on any “Photo” and press the key “F5” it will launch slide show.

Why did the photos app auto-create a random photo album?

The automatic album creation is a new feature:

Date and time are definitely taken into account when grouping the photos; a CNET article suggests there might be more complex logic too:

The location would be determined from information embedded in the picture by the device that took it.

Concerning the uninvited appearance of the app: That seems to be a bug experienced by many people with the management of Universal app processes. For some, it's caused by a certain version of DisplayFusion.

 

Photos Album created within photos app Windows 10 not syncing to onedrive

I created a photo album using the photos app in windows 10 but for some reason it is not showing as an album in onedrive. Other albums I've created in the past do appear in both photos app and onedrive. But this recently created album does not. Only
shows in photos app in Windows 10. Any suggestions??
