Windows 10: Why do attachments take such a long time to show up when when receiving messages in Phone Link?

My sister in law texted both me and my wife at the same time. My wife received the text messages and their attachments almost immediately on her android phone but it appeared that I only got the text without the attached images on my Windows 11 PC using Phone Link. But I went back about 30 minutes later and the image attachments had finally arrived. Why such a lag? And I was using high speed internet Wifi, not cell data for transmission.

Phone Link Messages Are Received, But Do Not Show on Phone or Desktop - Only For iOS Group Messages

Current Configuration & Functionality:

• Android Phone Connected to Phone Link Desktop App
  
• Using Native Android Messaging App on phone.
  
• All Messages 1 to 1 function as expected. (To & From, Android and iOS, Phone and Desktop App)
  
• Group Messages to other Android phone users function as expected. (To & From, Phone and Desktop App)
  

Issue:

Messages sent via the Desktop app to a group consisting of only iOS devices and my Android device, are not recorded in the app or on the phone.

Other Details:

• Messages are received by the other parties in the group.
  
• When sending message using the Phone only, all messages show on both Phone and Desktop App.
  

 

Phone Link App -- Can't attach a photo from my Win.11 PC to a Phone Link Message

I selected to "repair" the the Phone Link application today. Still now joy with being able to attach photos from my Win.11 PC to a text message. I then "reset" the Phone Link App to begin anew and the attachment of a photo still doesn't work!

After the long term ability to attach photos, that function recently stopped. Now, not being able to attach a photo, is this a Phone Link App bug? If yes, will it be fixed my MS? Or, if it isn't a widespread bug, are they any other suggestions of how the photo attachment ability may be restored?

In Phone Link make sure your phone shows Connected. If it is Offline, click on

to try to resync the phone with Phone Link.
