    Why do commands still execute in CMD if preceded with an equals sign?


    Found a weird quirk today trying to boot repair a laptop.While typing into a WINRE's command prompt I accidently typed an equals sign = immediately before a command. The command executed without faulting. I tried typing "=echo" in CMD on my WIN10 desktop and was promptly told "ECHO is on." Looks like you can add as many equal signs as you like immediately before a command and it will still execute. Can anyone confirm?

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    That will work indeed, however I need to run it from the SCCM Task Sequence's Run Command Line Step and I am not able to figure out how to do that.

    Can we change line while executing command from SCCM Task Sequence's Run Command Line Step?

    Hi,

    I am having a problem with cmd, after the last 1803 update, using gdb (gnu debugger) with cmd is so annoying.

    I need to press enter twice after typing any command when running gdb, (ex: type "step">press enter>on a new line first letter "s" appears>press enter again> command executes).

    I have tried downloading and installing new version of gdb (8.1), same results, but when i run gdb through msys2 terminal it works fine with commands executing with one enter key press.

    some one told me it maybe a problem with command prompt registry files. i don't really know how this could be fixed any suggestions to how to resoleve this? gdb used to run fine with windows 10! what happened?
