  1. Why do connected bluetooth devices show across all user accounts on my laptop Windows 11?

Hi,I have a new windows 11 laptop which I am setting up for me and my wife. I have created separate user accounts for each of us, however, when I connected all my bluetooth devices, they also appear on my wife's user account for some reason? How can I prevent this from happening? This very frustrating as I want to use the Windows 11 phone link app to get my notifications on my laptop, but this means my wife's user account will also be connected. Also it would just be easier if she didnt have all my bluetooth headphones in her devices list. How can I resolve this? Thanks

    :)

  2. Bluetooth not showing devices, won't connect new devices

    I'm on Windows 10 Pro, Version 22H2.

Why do connected bluetooth devices show across all user accounts on my laptop Windows 11? 383164d1673480821t-bluetooth-not-showing-devices-wont-connect-new-devices-pc-info.jpg

I'm on a laptop using the built-in Intel Wireless chip, which also comes with Bluetooth.
I'm using one Bluetooth device - a headset, Jabra Evolve 65 - every day without issues.

Now I acquired another Bluetooth device - a game controller - and I cannot get the PC to detect it.
My Android phone finds and connects to both the old headset and the new controller, so the peripheral devices shouldn't be at fault.

After an extended online research, I found that something more fundamental is off with my Bluetooth - there seems to usually be a list of devices, both paired and "foreign, but detected", that is just missing from my interface.

I cannot be sure, but that list might just be missing ever since, I never paid attention.
The Bluetooth on/off toggle works as intended, my headset disconnects and reconnects as expected.

By the way, the "printer and devices" window is also empty, even though I do have a printer, mouse and keyboard up and running (and showing in device manager). The issues seem related, according to online searches.

Windows Update is up to date and so is the Bluetooth driver, according to device manager.
I removed every Bluetooth-related entry from device manager and restarted, they showed up again as per screenshot (automatically re-installed on restart, I reckon).
I completed both an SFC scan and a DISM scan.
I checked services.msc and both the Bluetooth and the printer spooler services are up and running.
    The issue persists.

    Any ideas?

  3. Connecting devices with bluetooth.

We appreciate your response. To further troubleshoot your concern, we suggest that you create a test user profile and then check if you will have the same issue with connecting Bluetooth devices on your computer. This is for us to verify if the issue is
isolated with one user profile or with multiple accounts.

To create a test user profile, follow these steps:

    • Using Cortana search, type Settings and then hit the Enter key.
    • In the Settings window, select Accounts.
    • Select Family & other people.
    • Choose Add someone else to this PC.
    • Click I don't have this person's sign-in information.
    • Click Add a user without a Microsoft account.
    • Name the user as TEST and then provide a password.

    Update us about the results.

Win10 Laptop Can't Connect to New iPhone 11

Just upgraded from iPhone 6s. USB connection sees all photos on the 6. But on the 11, usb connection shows barely 1 dozen out of thousands of photos. Laptop does not have iTunes installed. I connected both once by Bluetooth which went as expected but I didn't know what to do in Windows so I shut down overnight. Now in Bluetooth, iPhone 11 says it sees laptop and it's connected, but Win 10 laptop cannot see iphone device at all, but does see neighbors' devices, does not show iPhone 11 as either a drive or as a network device. Is there some Win10 registry sabotage here? Did I somehow tell Win10 never to see or connect to this iphone? Any ideas about how to get full connectivity? I've cold booted both devices repeatedly. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
