  1. Why do I have an extra system volume that I didnt create?

I have 1 disk on my laptop, i reinstalled windows 11 on it by mounting the official windows 11 iso and running setup.exe, I then installed the new windows in the old windows partition to keep a Windows.old for recovery purposes, once the install finished I saw 2 volumes on my machine, C: and E:Trying to read the contents of E: via file explorer gives permission denied error, so I used WizTree to see the contents instead:And this is what diskpart classifies E: as:```Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info ---------- --- ----------- ----- ---------

Failed to Create Volume Snapshot Macrium Error 0x8004230f VSS Error

    Hi, you might try this:
Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) Troubleshooting - Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) Troubleshooting

or the free cautious repair tool
    Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free/Pro
    - observing the steps and using only the relevant repairs

    More:
How to Fix VSS Errors Step-by-Step

Otherwise I suggest- assuming your disk and file system are sound-
an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs, data and most settings

You need an iso of the same base language and build- freely downloadable.
