Windows 10: why do i have to click to confirm what i want to copy

got a new laptop and for some reason when i try to copy and when i release my finger from the touchpad it doesnt confirm the copy and if i drag the cursor it will move over different text. not sure if this is my driver or a setting. anyone able to help

Can I set file delete to require a confirmation action

I suggest you to place a checkmark in the Display delete confirmation dialog from the Recycle Bin properties and see if it helps.
