  1. Why do I have to constantly restart my computer to make my OneDrive sync with my computer?

I have a new computer laptop/PC with Windows 11. My OneDrive no longer automatically syncs with my computer. When I start the app, it has trouble signing in, often saying it doesn't think I'm online when I am. I never had this problem with my last laptop. Currently it is just spinning on sign in and saying one drive isn't connected when I click on my notification icon which doesn't show up at all unless I physically go into apps and open one drive after resting for a while. Restarting my computer fixes the problem. Drivers are up to date.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

OneDrive keeps constantly restarting and will not sync properly.

OneDrive keeps constantly restarting, with multiple icons in the tray. On my new HP and Dell laptops it has never synced properly and just shows the file folders without access to the content. None of the "canned" solutions including uninstalling and
reinstalling seem to help. Does anyone have any suggestions before I remove this program from my devices once and for all?

Hello Francis, Why do I have to constantly restart my computer to make my OneDrive sync with my computer? :)

Doing the steps below to install the latest version of OneDrive may be able to help.

    1. Download and install the latest version of OneDrive that's rolling out with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
    2. Restart your computer.
    3. After your computer restarts, select the Start button, search for “OneDrive”, and then select the OneDrive desktop app.
    4. When OneDrive Setup starts, enter your personal account, or your work or school account, and then select Sign in.
