Windows 10: Why do I have to download clipchamp now to have sound when I make trims?

To remove the photo app then call it legacy to then remove the ability to hear my audio thinking it's some cute thing that's gonna make me download crapchamp is quite frankly malicious imo. Used the same laptop for years to trim and same photos app and now you want me to download clipchamp and give me no audio when I trim is not some hidden technique. Clipchamp is a horrid app that is basically a paywall that you want me to use just to trim clips with audio should be a lawsuit,yes clipchamp is free no none of the editing options are. Im not downloading a whole extra app to do what the photos a

1. End Task and Relaunch:
   
   • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
     
   • In the Processes tab, right-click on Clipchamp and select End task.
     
2. Repair or Reset:
   
   • Go to Settings (press Win + I) and choose Apps.
     
   • Find and click on Clipchamp, then select Advanced options.
     
3. Close Unnecessary Programs:
   
   • Close any other unnecessary programs on your PC that might interfere with Clipchamp’s performance.
     
4. Try using another device:
   
   • Try using another device and check if the issue persists.

Losing sound on Video Editor when undertaking a trim

Microsoft Photos now has a new video editor. Previously I could trim a video by a simple process and all was well with the trimmed version. Now I find that I have lost the sound when I undertake a trim using the new video editor; there is good sound on the untrimmed MP4 file . What steps am I missing please?
