Why do I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to get the sign in button to show up on Windows 10?

I just noticed this started to happen fairly recently in the past month or so. When my computer sleeps and I wake it up, I get the lock screen, but no Sign In button until I press Ctrl+Alt+Del. In the past When I wake it up it just shows the Sign In button by default. Signing in is still the same process though. So was there an update that caused this change? And is there a way to revert it? I've already tried going to the User Accounts dialog >Advanced tab, and the "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete" option is unchecked, so that's not it....

    :)

  2. Ctrl Alt Del, Vista

The whole Ctrl+Shift+Esc should be used to get that crazy screen with those options and Ctrl+Alt+Del should bring up TM.

    Ctrl Alt Del, Vista

On a domain you won't get Task Manager when you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del. You get a crazy screen with a bunch of options.

Ctrl+Shift+Esc has always brought up just the Task Manager, even back to Windows XP days. You just weren't aware of it. *Wink Why do I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to get the sign in button to show up on Windows 10? ;)

Go ahead, try it in Windows XP too.
