Windows 10: Why do I have to reinstall SmartGesture after everry windows version?

I have an ASUS laptop. It came with a program called SmartGesture which lets you two finger scroll. It worked fine for years. Windows updates, no problem, etc. Then, I did a Windows Refresh. Ever since, whenever Windows downloads and installs changes, SmartGesture gets removed and I have to reinstall it. What is the reason?

Can't reinstall ASUS SmartGesture on Windows10

I just reinstalled Windows 10 after getting my computer back from having the hard drive replaced. When I finished installing Win10, I noticed that my SmartGesture wasn't working. I went to the ASUS forum/FAQ about it and it told me to uninstall SmartGesture.
I did so, and began the process of reinstalling it. However, SmartGesture wasn't in my downloads folder, so I had to re-download it. After this, I went to the Set Up Wizard to begin installing. I got through to almost having it installed, but I got a pop up
window saying that the source file wasn't found. I went into my Program Files (x86) and creted a specific file to send it to. That didn't work. Then I manually went to the location it said the set up was trying to save to. I found the file (along with another
file from having it previously installed), tried to do the set up from there and I still got the same pop up message.

I'm totally lost, and I've been frustrated for about two weeks already because I haven't been able to figure out how to restore my backup from my external hard drive. Is there any way that I can fix my beloved SmartGesture?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
