    Why do I have to request access from a parent when I'm the adult on the account?


    I am trying to download apps on my new HP laptop however when I do, I have to "Send a request to a parent or adult on my account to approve my request"? I only have the one email listed on my account and I don't get any notification when I request access to anything even though I'm the adult! Please help!

    Time request emails to all adults on account

    I have other adult children that are on my family account. When my youth kids (ones with a "youth" account) send a request for more time, all the adult accounts get the request email. Is there a way to make it so that only I(primary parent) would get the
    requests??

    How to delete an adult account in the Family Settings.

    Hi,

    To resolve your issue, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

    • As an adult in the family account, sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Under Your family, click
      Remove      .
    • Click the child account you want to remove, and click Remove.
    • You will get an email confirmation once the child has been removed from the family.
    Note: If you removed a Child account, it will be tagged as an "Orphaned account" and you will need to attach another "Parent account".
