Windows 10: Why do I have to save a file before I can print it?

    Why do I have to save a file before I can print it?


    I have Microsoft 365. I have to save files before I can print. I used to just go to print or right click and print.How can I change this.

    What is this "Save to Print File" issue?

    Since the latest update, when I need to print it wants me to "Save to Print File". I checked and my printer is set as default and there is NOT a check in the Print to File box. Any suggestions.

    Saves log files ?

    You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

    Download CCcleaner from here...........

    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

    You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

    • What are the documents that you're trying to save as a PDF file?
    • Can you provide us a step-by-step screenshot of how you print your documents as PDF?
