Windows 10: Why do I keep getting e-mails every 4 weeks asking me to give parental consent to my...

Hello,Every 4 weeks I am getting an email from Microsoft asking me to give parental consent to my child's account or it will be deactivated. And each time, I log in and give the consent and I get a confirmation email from Microsoft. Yet 4 weeks later, here I am being sent a "second notice: take action to update your child's account" email.Why does this keep happening? Why doesn't my parental consent stay valid for say 12 months instead of one month?

Microsoft keeps asking to confirm parental consent for my child but I've already done it. I already provided parental consent twice now and in the family safety app I can see 'remove consent' for my child's account, so consent has been given.



However, weeks after giving it, I still get a notice to confirm parental consent for my child. "Second notice: Take action to update account". I don't want my childs' account to get deleted: Yes, I have provided consent. Why is this not working?

 

I need a slick E-mail program!

My parents are absolutely stonewall about keeping AOL. The best reason they can give me for keeping it is the easy to use E-mail interface. I ain't arguing, I haven't found anything easier to use, but it TAKES SO MUCH MEMORY! And so I'm thinking that if I can find something nice and easy to use, I might be able to get my parents to use it instead of AOL, and finally get the bloatware known as AOL off my computer! The requirements-

• Must be easy to use
• Can't be browser-based (so AIM mail, Yahoo, and MSN are no-no's)
• Preferably compatible with AOL mail, my parents don't want to switch E-mail accounts
• Can't be Mozilla Thunderbird...I tried it and it sucks in terms of multiple E-mail accounts, and it erased all my saved mail *Frown .

Any ideas?

 

How to confirm parental consent

Okay, I followed these steps to chat with live support:

The conclusion we came to is that I needed to remove consent to stop getting the reminders. I explained to them that that makes no sense whatsoever, but I went ahead and did that, so now we will see if this resolves the issue. Support assured me the behavior of this account would not change.

Note that I do not leverage any of Microsoft's functionality for account control or oversight.
