    Why do I keep getting error c0000005 when trying to look for a match in Battlefield 1?


    I recently bought some of the battlefield games off of steam and my laptop was running them flawlessly at the start. First I got BF4 and had absolutely no issues.Then I downloaded BF1 and the first time I ran it there were NO problems whatsoever, and I played for around 2 hours. However since then, every time I try to search for a match the game crashes to desktop with no error.I looked through the .dmp files and saw that error c0000005 was the issue. I went online and literally did every procedure recommended. I ran SFC scans, verified integrity of game files, updated drivers, re-installed th

    Battlefield 1 Open Beta is On!


    Battlefield 1 still look the same as BF4 and BF3. 32 players per match, and PlanetSide 2 still beat BF1.

    We understand that you receive a black screen when trying to play battlefield 2 in Windows 10. We will assist you with this issue.

    • Is the issue persists to only this particular game or with other games as well?
    • Have you installed all pending Windows Updates?

    This issue might have occurred due to faulty or corrupted display drivers. Let's try the below steps and check if it helps:

    Step 1: I would suggest you to update your graphic card drivers and check if it helps.

    You can update drivers from the Device Manager.

      • Right click on Start button and click on Device manager.
      • Select Display adapter and expand it.
      • Right click on the device and select Update driver.


    Step 2: Further if the issue persists, try to uninstall and reinstall Graphic drivers.

    1. Press
    Windows key + R key.

    2.Type
    devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

    3.In device manager go to
    Display adapter.

    4. Right click and
    uninstall.

    After you uninstall the drives, I suggest you to reinstall the latest drivers from the manufacturing website and check.
