Windows 10: Why do I keep having Admin account on login screen out of nowhere?

Every time I log in, I get a pseudo Admin account below my real admin account, saying that the password is incorrect. I can't do anything to remove it because it doesn't exist in the account list. This only started after I signed in with the Microsoft account in the Account settings. Before this, I used to log in with a local account with no password

1. Are you using a Microsoft account or a local account?
   
2. Which version of Windows 10 you are using currently?
   
3. Is the other user account an admin account?
   

I suggest you to try using the on screen keyboard at the login page and check if you are able to login to the PC.

1. At the login screen click on the
   ease of access icon at the bottom right hand corner.
   
2. Click on the on screen keyboard to open it.
   
3. Type the password and try to login.
   

If you are using a Microsoft account, I suggest you to refer the article on

how to reset your Microsoft account password.



However, if you are using a local account, then I suggest you to refer the article on

reset your Windows 10 local account password.



Note: While performing these steps, there might be a risk of data loss. You may take a backup of the data before performing the steps.

login screens

goto CONTROL PANEL/ USER ACCOUNTS then you have to remove all the other accounts except for the one you logon with....then restart...it should bypass the login tho it will still show the screen for it...it will continue to load windows...good luck*Rockout :rockout:



edit:: it asks for a login when there are more then one accounts..or if you set a pw to your login name...

 

Can't login to Admin account from lock screen, goes to separate account instead.

To get back into your original admin account on your pc, you can try the following steps:

1. Sign out of the current account.
- Click on start button, select you profile icon, and choose sign out
2. Switch user accounts
- On the sign in screen, look for the list of users accounts available on the pc. Click on your original admin account from this list.

If you follow these steps you should be able to regain access. If not feel free to ask for further assistance
