Windows 10: Why do I keep losing sound when editing with Photos Legacy?

Photos Legacy alreadyu has this annoying bug that mutes the sound every time you are trying top play a video both in Windows 10 and 11. Now in Windows 11, the sound disappears completely when you are trying to edit trim a short MP4 video.This means you have to save the edit and reopen Legacy again to restore sound.As a non-technical user how can this bug be simply fixed?Having recently moved to a new Windows 11 computer, it appears the Microsoft functions are simply getting harder to use!

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

Regarding to your information I assume that you want to use the Photos Legacy but it will still use the new version.

Are you referring to opening Photo (Legacy) or the new version of Photos? If possible, you can try uninstalling Photos and

then see if you are able to open Photo (Legacy). Our tests have shown that it should work fine. If you don't use the new version of

Photos, you can try this approach.

You can go to Settings -> Apps -> Installed apps, search for Photos, and you should see both Photos and Photos (Legacy).

Delete Photos and see if it resolves the issue.

If you want to use it please create a new test account, and switch to the newly created account to see if the Photos app is working as normal.

This troubleshooting step can help isolate the problem due to an invalid profile configuration.

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support

I'm Christine, an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I can see here that you would like to get the Photo Legacy. No worries, I'll do my best to help you.

To get that app, please click start menu and type Photos then hit enter

Select Settings and scroll down, you'll see the Photo Legacy, please click on it. And that should give you the Photo Legacy.
