Windows 10: Why do I only get a black screen trying to boot from USB?

I recently bought a new laptop and I'm trying to boot from a usb-drive created using the microsoft download. With the usb plugged in I only get a black screen, without it I can access the menu to select a device to boot from or go to settings. I'm using a Lenovo Ideapad 5 82SG00BMGE.

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?

Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

I would suggest you try the power troubleshooter if you are able to boot into the system.

Follow the steps below.

• Press Windows key + W and type Troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting and click on System and Security.
• Click on Power and follow the onscreen steps.
