Windows 10: Why do my downloads keep going down to zero?

I need help, I've been on this help forum for two days and have yet to find a solution. When I try to download anything the MB goes back down to zero, I've restarted my laptop multiple times, have tried the many recommendations I've seen posted and yet nothing has fixed it. Resetting my laptop is the last thing I want to do since I'm afraid I'll mess something up. I've tried Microsoft Edge thinking Google was the problem, but same thing happened there. I've updated my laptop and not really sure it's the speed of the internet either. Someone please help.

If want to disable IE, still can. However, can't uninstall it like were able to in XP/98/whatever.
Here's how, although I find it useful in case Chrome or Firefox stops working and have to re-download it. *Wink
1. Search for turn windows features on or off and click it in the search results.

2. When the app opens, uncheck Internet Explorer 11.

3. Click Yes on the warning dialog.

4. Click OK.

• 
  

5. Restart for the changes to finish.

 

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

Leading Zero when dictating a decimal "point"

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. Follow the below methods.

Methods 1.

I suggest you to go to the settings and check if the speech settings is set up properly.

• 
  Type speech on the Windows search bar and select
  Speech settings.
  
• 
  Check for the language set up and other settings.
  

If the issue still persist, try the below method.

Method 2.

Step 1.

I suggest you to uninstall the sound driver and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Now click on Audio input and outputs to expand, right click on the device and click on
  uninstall.
  
• Once you are done uninstalling the restart the computer. If should automatically installed the driver.

If the still persist, try the below steps.

Step 2.

I suggest you to update the audio driver and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.
  
• Now click on Audio input and outputs and right click on it and
  update the software.

If the above methods did not help to fix the issue, try the below method.

Method 3.

I recommend you to go to the computer manufacturer website and download the latest updated sound adapter for Windows 10 and install the same. If the available driver is not for Windows 10 try installing the driver in compatibility mode.

  Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.
  
• 
  Select Compatibility tab.
  
• 
  Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.
  
• 
  Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
