Windows 10: Why do my monitors immediately come on again after shutting off at the designated time...

No matter what time I set for my 3 monitors to go off in System>Power>Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts> Turn my screen off after..., they go off, but then immediately they come back on again. This happens even if no wake timers are set. Powercfg/lastwake always shows a history count of 0.What else could be turning them back on?

Hi Arjay,

I really appreciate the response. Unfortunately those initial steps didn't resolve it yet. The graphics settings do correctly indicate monitor 1 as my primary. I didn't get a chance to check it during one of the restarts when it switched the monitors
on me, so I will see if I can catch that next time just to see if the designation actually changes in the settings. The clean reboot did not seem to make a difference, though I also seemed to have full functionality after that reboot so I'm wondering if it
didn't actually do a clean reboot--is that possible?

Next thoughts? (I only have access to that PC during certain hours, so if I don't respond back immediately after one of your suggestions, that's why...)

 

Trouble with 2 monitors

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.
