Windows 10: Why do my taskbar items disappear after I've been working for some time?

Why does the Windows 11 operating system require me to go to Task Manager and restart Windows Explorer in order to see my taskbar? Like, almost every day?

W10 taskbar icons disappearing

Just yesterday my w10-Pro system started having problems with the taskbar icons.

Those on the right-hand side would all disappear, but were restored if I;

1. Did settings hide taskbar on/off,
2. Expand taskbar to two lines, and then back to one,
3. Sometimes it temporarily restores things, but then It will then show a few of the icons, with a scroll bar to show the rest.

As if there were a phantom item taking up all the rest of the space.

1. Restart explorer, machine – no effect.

I did SFC, removed icon cache, etc.
Ran: DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
No change.

Sometimes once restored, it will have a mistaken re-paint of the time/date on to of the right-hand side ones, which corrects on mouse-over.

Nothing new installed, no updates.

Randomly disappearing taskbar and start icons

I have tried doing fresh installs of Windows 10 multiple times but I always face this issue where items in the start menu and/or taskbar jump lists disappear randomly. I am attaching a screenshot for this. This also happens when after I close any game (Eg. Battlefield 4, Tomb Raider etc).




The icons, though invisible are still working if I move my cursor over them and click them. Restarting explorer.exe fixed the problem temporarily.

 

Taskbar Items Missing

The taskbar items of the Windows 7 system has been disappeared from the Taskbar notification. How to get back taskbar items.
