Windows 10: Why do our pre joined laptops delete object from AD / Adaxes after a day or two, but the...

We have an odd error happening with our pre joined surface laptops.. they come pre joined to the domain, we just have to set them up and rename them and move them to the correct OU as we have them all set to be in a "pre joined" ou. Renaming them is when I believe something breaks them but we're stumped. We get completely locked out other than whatever profiles were local. I have confirmed the laptop is the same name and on the domain physically but in AD / Adaxes its almost as if its deleted, no name, no admin groups.. nothing. Any ideas? We had to re image two so far now because of having no

Active Directory - Joining With Preexisting Computer Object (Post KB5020276)

With KB5020276, our team members are no longer able to join objects to the domain that were created by privileged team members.

We have two groups: 'Admins' and 'Technicians', our Admins have permission to create Computer objects, and will create preexisting computer objects in the proper OU's, adding the Technicians group to the 'User or Group' that 'can join this computer to a domain'. When imaging, our Technicians will join the computer to the domain. However, with the KB5020276 update, now only the creator of the OU is currently able to join the computer.

Is there an additional setting necessary so our techs can join computers to the domain?

There are different factors that can contribute to the concern why your computer is not able to join the HomeGroup properly. For us to resolve your concern kindly answer the questions below:

• Aside from the error message you mentioned, were there any other error messages that showed up when you attempted to connect the laptop to the HomeGroup?
• Are both devices on the same network? If they are, is this through a WiFi connection or LAN connection?

As a initial recommendation, we suggest that to follow these steps to run the Windows built in troubleshooter:

• Type Troubleshooting
  in the search box and hit enter.
• Select the Troubleshooting app.
• Select the view all option on the upper left corner.
• Look for the Homegroup option from the list and select it.
• Click Next to run the Troubleshooter.

Image W10 workstations for Azure AD join?

Hi All,

I want to image Windows 10; but more importantly I need to join Azure AD 'Out of the Box'!

I don't have a 'master' Azure AD account. I am not even sure that such a thing exits, e.g.: the Administrator account on a standard Active Directory Domain.

Where should I be looking for configuration, where it comes to Azure AD automatic joining?

My thoughts are PowerShell DST! But that is just a rumour.

Any suggestions would be amazing.
