Why do people waste time backing up all files using Windows Backup?Windows backup is pure junk <<< Constant errors and issues. Microsoft uses the coding from before windows 7 and has tried making it work with windows 11. Windows backup didn't work correctly when they first created it, and it damn sure doesn't work with Windows 11. 100% Horrible and trash -- Windows 11 File backup is like using a wet brown paper bag and putting a 5LB brick in it.The 100% best way to handle all your files and not using the junk windows backup settings:The hard drive you want comes down to your preferen

Using network hard drive for backup

It depends what sort of backup you want to do. If you're happy just backing up regular files, then there are a bazillion (really, that many!) different bits of freeware to do that. There is a good list here:

and pretty much all of them can do network backups. Some even have fancy options like encryption. Really, the most useful thing is just being able to schedule them and know they ran OK.

You may also want to make a system image backup too, and you'll find that software in the very same list.

I don't have Windows 8 as yet, so I'm afraid I can't suggest any for that platform. Personally, I use Clonezilla for image backups.

Print People app contacts list backup in Windows 10

For a hard copy back up, I would like to print out a paper copy of the People List (contacts) with the email address of each contact printed alongside. I am unable to find the file at users\user as suggested by other users. I can find a list of names of
contacts in the Windows 10 Mail app but you have to individually open each contact to see each email address. Any suggestions?
