  1. Why do some Microsoft apps think I'm not signed in to my account/connected to the internet...

Ever since I installed 11 on my laptop, I keep getting error messages from some apps saying that I'm not connected to the Internet and/or not signed in to my account when I am actually connected and signed in. I have tried updating drivers etc, which worked temporarily, but when I turn the laptop of and on again the problem comes back. I'm connected and signed in, but Microsoft seems to think that I'm not.

    :)

  2. fail to sign in Microsoft account to connect windows 10 instead of local account

    Hi,

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

I suggest you to refer to follow the steps below and check if that helps:

Step 1: Try Disconnecting from the Internet

    • If there is a Wi-Fi icon on the sign-in screen, click it and go to Airplane mode.

    • If there is a wired connection, disconnect the wire.

    Step 2

Try to sign-in on another device (phone or PC) via the account.microsoft.com page.

If the sign-in is unsuccessful, then try to reset the password and check.

If sign-in is successful there, don’t try resetting/changing the password, try using the On-Screen Keyboard to sign in on the PC.

If that fails, make sure the PC is connected to the Internet (the connection icon should be visible in the lower right).

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you.

Microsoft apps cannot connect to the internet

Microsoft Edge, Windows Store, and Cortana, as well as most Microsoft apps, cannot connect to the internet.

When I try to open the Windows Store it will not open and I get an Error message, 0x80072EE7.

When I try to use Edge I get an error message that says, “This website could not be found.
    Error Code: INET_E_RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND.

It seems that the Microsoft apps that require the internet will not open: Weather, Skype, Solitaire Collection, Xbox, Movies & TV, OneNote, etc.

I also am unable to sign into my Microsoft Account from my computer (only a Local Account).

When I click on the Windows button and select My Account (button with my picture) it takes me to “Settings” where it indicates that I am signed into a Local Account. When I click on the link that says, “Sign into Microsoft Account instead” I get an error message that says, “Something went wrong.”

There is nothing wrong with my Internet connection. When using Google Chrome I can surf the Internet normally.

I have a notebook computer signed into my same Microsoft Account and it works normally.

I have the most recent edition of Windows 10 with all updates current.

I have scoured the Internet (using Google Chrome) and tried every solution offered by MS agents and users but nothing has worked.

It seems to me that there is something that is prohibiting my Microsoft apps from communicating with the Internet.
