Windows 10: Why do Windows media players suddenly have an unusable cycling ability?

Hello!For the past while, I've been using Movies and TV to watch videos in a folder I have. This was mainly due to the cycling feature, where the arrows on the left and right could cycle through videos in a folder.However, now the cycling is completely random. It plays videos from any location in my device, and randomly as well. As far as I can tell, it isn't alphanumerical, date of creation, size.. There's no consistency to it. The same issue also happens to appear in the photos app.Is there any way to fix this?

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

What is the exact error message you get when you to try play files on Windows Media Player?

I suggest you to run both Windows Media Player Library and Settings troubleshooter and check.
