Windows 10: Why does brightness change automatically when changing resolutions?

Greetings everyone. I recently installed windows 11 and I've been loving it! Problem is, when I installed "intel graphics command center" to enable window stretching on lower resolutions as I play old games and hate dealing with the black bars on the sides, and with that, the screen started getting darker, changing brightness, every time I went from native resolution to 800x600 resolution, as an example.is there any way for me to fix this? It can get a tad annoying when I'm switching games, and my brightness keeps changing.Thank you in advance!

Windows 10 has the ability to automatically adjust the screen brightness depending on the ambient light levels. This feature can be more annoying than helpful, either leaving your screen too dark or frequently
adjusting the brightness levels.

If you are using Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro-1370, I suggest you
Disable auto brightness feature
and check if it helps.

Brightness changing problem

Hi,

Changing the screen brightness on your laptop can be adjusted by going to
System > Display where you can use the slider to adjust the brightness. If your PC supports, you may also let Windows to automatically adjust the screen brightness according to the current lighting condition by enabling
Change brightness automatically when lighting changes.

If you've already the tried the suggestions above but the screen brightness still doesn't change, then we suggest updating the display drivers. Please see

Update drivers in Windows 10 for the steps on how to update the drivers.

Laptop Brightness Changing Automatically.

With Windows 10, the screen brightness is automatically measured by windows, so it turns the screen brightness to what ever it likes based on the surrounding, however if your brightness is at max and your unable to change it back i would suggest trying,
to manually change the screen brightness in the action center and to do this, just open up the action center and then at the bottom of the action center there should be a brightness slider, adjust the brightness to your liking.
