Windows 10: Why does changing keyboard layout doesn't work anymore?

I just bought a new laptop online and i got a japanese keyboard. When i click shift+2, @ appears. but in the little pictures on my keyboard shows the mark ". And when i click shift+; , : apears. and in my keyboard shows the + mark. and a lot more keys shows not the right mark. Its basically typing the wrong characters. I tried changing my keyboard layout but it doesnt work, and it still shows the wrong characters. do i change my keyboard keys or can i fix it in another way? sorry for my broken english.

keyboard doesn' t working, it doesn't popup on my nokia lumia 735 after I took windows 10, 10586 version. Please, help!!!

 

Scanner doesn´t work anymore after last Windows 10 update

As many people on the internet already are discussing, their scanner doesn´t work anymore after the last Windows update. But there seem to be no solution.

My Scanner starts making noises, as usual, and then i get error messages: "Communication with the scanner is not possible"

Is there a workaround for that?

This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

(The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)
