Windows 10: why does copilot keep saying it can not talk right now every time I push the microphone? I...

I would love to be able to talk to copilot and I pay to have a better version of copilot just for this reason yet,I keep getting told that copilot cant talk right now. When I first got copilot I as able to talk and have fast conversations but now it not even able to listen to me talk when push microphone. I even went and made sure my settings were not the problem and everything is on and says it should be working. any feedback would be great! I will not be paying the extra money a month if this feature doesn't work by tomorrow.

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

If a mic connected to this computer isn’t working properly then it’s likely a settings problem.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Right-click on the speaker icon in the bottom-right part of the screen.
  
• 
  Click on ‘Recording Devices‘.
  
• 
  A list of recording devices will appear. Try speaking into your microphone, and see if there any
  green bars rising next to one of them while you talk.
  
• 
  If you don’t see any green bars skip to step 5.
  
• 
  Check if you can recognize which one of the devices in the list is your
  microphone. If you found it, click on it to highlight it, and then click
  Set Default.
  
• 
  Check again if you see green bars rising when you talk into the microphone. If you do your mic is now correctly setup. If not, continue to next step.
  
• 
  Double-click on the device that represents your microphone. The
  Microphone Properties window will appear. Click the Levels tab.
  
• 
  In the levels tab, drag the slider all the way to the right, until the number on the right says “100“.
  
• 
  Click OK and check if it helps.

The hotkeys to turn on/off Push To Talk depend on the app you're using. For better assistance, what app are you using that has Push To Talk (e.g. Skype)?

No toggle for microphone for Copilot in settings

Copilot cannot find my microphone. All other apps on my Windows 11 PC can find my microphone. Research indicates that I should be able to toggle the microphone on and off in Copilot from the Windows 11 privacy settings. Attached is a screenshot of those settings. Copilot does not appear. Any suggestions on how to get Copilot to detect my mic? It works fine with Google Search. Thanks. Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631.
