Windows 10: Why does ctrl key acts so weird after installing latest windows 11 H2 update

Simply pressing the control key is making my PC to crazy stuff. Recently did the windows 11 H2V2 update. On pressing the control key firstly the page or apllication font gets zoomed, than it starts showing other popups, project menu. starts decreasing volume and stuff when ctrl key is continuously pressed.Attaching screenshot: Had opened notepad in full screen but on pressing ctrl key a few times this happened

CTRL key acts as if it's stuck?

I'm running Windows 10, and for a few weeks now, it has been acting as if the CTRL key is jammed. I replaced my keyboard with multiple others, and the problem persisted. I read a few forums, and one suggested to press both CTRL keys at the same time,
which only worked once. Then, another said to open the virtual keyboard. This showed clearly that the keys were indeed held down, but I couldn't deactivate them from there, so it really didn't help. Are there any fixes to this?

It sounds like all of your Ctrl hotkeys acting in a weird way. I regret the inconvenience you are facing. Based on your description, this is most likely caused by a malfunctioning Ctrl key on your keyboard. Kindly try the following methods to troubleshoot.

1. Normally there are two Ctrl keys on a keyboard, so try to use another one to observe the result.

2. Type: osk on the Windows search box and launch the virtual keyboard, and then check if the Ctrl hotkeys on the virtual keyboard work well.

• If the Ctrl key works on scenarios mentioned above, then it indicates that the Ctrl key on your real keyboard get damaged.
  
• If not, try:
  

1. Enter the safe mode to check the effect.

2. Temporarily close the third-party security programs and optimization software that may exist under the system (with firewall nature), and perform a clean boot on your system: Press and hold Windows+R > Enter msconfig > Hit Enter > Click on Services > Check to hide Microsoft services > Click Disable All > Reboot the device, and confirm if the problem solved.

Apps Search not working after Windows 11 H2 22 Update

Hi Paulo

In fact I did see this suggested on a web article before I came here. I looked in Settings > Privacy but there is no section called "Background Apps". I also did a search in all settings, and there is nothing of that name. I wonder if the latest Windows 11 has removed that section?

The only thing I have done is update Windows (W11 H2 22 version). No other software updated or installed. The App Search worked before but not after.
