    Why does Defender on Android change the wording of the Notification of it running?


    There is a notification message that says "Your Device Protection is Active" and "No current threats" and then an icon with a down arrow. When you click on the down arrow, a smaller icon with "Microsoft Defender" shows up at the top of the notification.Every now and then, when I look, the only thing in the notification is the "Microsoft Defender" line. No other status information or drop downs.I uninstall defender and reinstall it and then it ok again for a while.I suspect this behavior is not desired.Is there something wrong with the notification status? Anyone else observer this?I'm runni

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

    Sorry, that turning off Network Notifications should be there, unless your vendor disabled the advance features.

    Android will automatically display a notification when an open Wi-Fi network is available.
    To turn off this feature:
    • Go to Settings > WiFi.
    • Tap on the Menu key > Advanced.
    • Uncheck "Network notifications"
