    Why does device manager tell me I have Acer 271HL monitor when my monitor is an AOC 2270SWHN? Windows 10 version 2004 build 19041.508.

    I have never had an Acer monitor!

    AOC monitor

    I`ve had my AOC for nearly 3 years, no issues with it at all.

    You have to calibrate your new monitor, and did you install the driver for it.

    Look in Device Manager.

    Device Manager/Dual monitors in Windows 10

    I have an HP laptop with resolution 1920x1080. When I connect a 24" Acer monitor via HDMI cable and set the same resolution the picture extends way outside the physical boundaries of the monitor, meaning I can't close full size windows. However the Acer
    is not listed under Monitors in Device Manager - all that is there is "Generic PnP Monitor". I have updates these drivers but it makes no difference. Why is the Acer not listed, so that I can install the genuine Acer driver? (The Acer does list in Device
    Manager if I connect to a Windows 8 laptop, sop why not in Windows 10?)

    Help would be greatly appreciated

    The model number is e2270sw. I wonder if AOC make good and reliable monitor, i'm new with such brand.
