Windows 10: Why Does Edge Constantly Freeze in Windows 11 - Is it an Error with the User Folder?

I bought a new computer 2 weeks ago and I have 2 issues. I have no idea if one has to do with the other, but I will ask, and you can tell me what you think.1. I let an electronics store transfer what data they could save from my Windows 10 PC. I changed the user settings so that it says my name at start up but when I go into File Explorer, my main path is: C:\Users\Owner instead of C:\Users\myname\ It says myname in User Accounts, I am Admin Home and when I do %userprofile% so I called the store coincidently, I used to work for them as a sales consultant and I asked why it said Owner and t

Error Access Denied while acessing the folders from User> AppData folders on Windows 10

Do let us know the complete error code/ error message of this issue?

As you have tried with providing the permissions to each folder and issue persists after the restart, try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Try to disable the third party anti-virus software if installed any and check.

Step 2: As, as a work around, I suggest you to enable the built-in administrator account and check if this issue persists.

Steps to enable Built-in administrator.

• • Press Windows + X key together on your desktop screen.
  • Click on Command Prompt (admin) to open Command Prompt.
    
  • Type the following command and hit Enter:

• net user administrator /active: yes (Check for the spaces)

　　　4. Now log off from the current user and try to login to the administrator account that is enabled.　　

Note: Please follow the same steps and type net user administrator /active: no to disable admin account after the troubleshooting is done.　

Step 3: I suggest you to refer to the below Microsoft article with 3-diffrent issues related to accessing the files and folders and check if it helps.

I am not able to open favorites folder or sub folders under it in EDGE browser

  Did you checked whether you are able to see the favorite’s folder under your users?
  
• 
  Are you able to see the Favorites bar on EDGE browser?
  
• 
  Does the EDGE browser close/crashes only when you try to open the favorites folder or any other scenarios?
  

Note: By default the favorite’s folder will be present under your user’s folder. Follow the below steps to check if you are able to view the favorites.

• Open the ‘C’ drive on your computer. If your OS is installed on any other drive, open that one.
• Under the ‘Users’ section, locate the name of your system’s main admin account and open its folder.
• Locate the folder named ‘favorites’ and open it. In short, the path for this folder becomes as follows (assuming the system drive to be ‘C’ and your account name to be ‘Hamza’).
  
  C:\users\hamza\favorites\

  Open Windows File Explorer and navigate to the following path: (Press
  Windows + E keys on the keyboard to open File Explorer)
  
  C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default
  
  Note: username represent the user account name which you have currently signed in to the Windows 10.

  Here you will be able to locate the EDGE browser’s Favorites folder location.
  
• 
  Check whether you are able to locate the favorites which you have created in EDGE browser.
  

Note: To back up your favorites in Edge browser, simply copy-paste this Favorites folder to a safe location. To restore favorites, copy and paste your Favorites folder back in the location suggested under
the step 1.
