Windows 10: Why does external displays connected via USB C hub only works with the first USB C port the...

I have a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop running latest Windows 11 from my company IT, which has 2 ports of USB type C and I use it to work both from home and office, where I also have several work stations I can connect my laptop to.Wherever I'm working from, I always connect my laptop to a single USB type C hub that has 2 external screens connected to, into one of the two USB C ports on my laptop.The issue is, that after I initially connect a USB C hub to one of the USB C ports on my laptoplet's say port A it will be the only port from this point on that will recognize the external screens.This

Do all USB-C ports support display port? I am thinking of picking up a cheap laptop but want to be able to connect two additional displays if needed. The laptop has an HDMI and a USB-C Gen 1. Ace Aspire R R5. thanks

 

Connecting a USB-c SSD to a USB-c Hub

Hi, I'm Anvar, I'd be glad to help you today on this

since it works when connected to direct USB-C port, it is a problem related to the HUB, the hub seems not providing enough power required for the SSD and Enclosure,

suggested to try with a powered hub if you are using an unpowered USB Hub
