Windows 10: Why does it look so dim/Blurry?

I recently had an onn tv and it had this same problem when connected to my gaming pc and now I just bought this onn 27-inch gamin monitor and my system color is set to dark not light. I noticed when i scroll in the display settings or any settings, it dims or blurs the text on the page. Why is this happening? I want to send a video, so I'm not sure if i can do that on here if i need to contact someone via discord. edit: this only happens to text in the settings not anything elseLooking forward to a reply,Chill

Text blurrying out casually?

I understand that you're having issues with blurry text on your new monitor, and I'm really sorry about that. I will try to help you in the best possible way.

In some cases, the problem can be caused by a loose or faulty cable.

See if the cable is tight on the monitor and also on the computer. If the problem persists, consider replacing the cable.

I suggest initially that you try to perform the steps below:

Step 1

Use ClearType

Open the menu and search for "Adjust ClearType Text" and click trim to open.

Follow the steps on the screen that will open.

step 2

Click "Start Menu" and click "Settings" > "System".

In "System", click "Display", the option "Change the size of text, apps and other items", set it to 100%. If it already is, go to the next step.

step 3

Open Windows 10/11 search and type fix blurry apps. In the list of options, click Fix apps that are blurry settings.

This will open the Advanced Scaling Settings page.

You need to enable the toggle button behind 'Let Windows try to fix apps so they aren't blurry'

step 4

Update the video driver by the manufacturer.

Press Win + R keys and type MSinfo32.

Check the manufacturer and access the website, download the video driver and install it.

If you have an NVIDIA or RADEON graphics card, search for the card model and install the latest driver version.

display dimming

Hi,

There's a possibility that this issue is due to the Display settings of your device. For us to isolate your concern, we'd like to ask a few questions:

• Is it only happening when you connect your device to Windows 10?
• If it's not connected, have you noticed certain activities wherein the screen dims automatically?
• Have you tried using a different HDMI cable?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Adaptive Dimming

If that did not resolve your concern, follow the steps below:

• Go back to the first setting that you've tried (Refer to your screenshot).
• Under Dimmed display brightness, change the value of
  On battery and Plugged in option to "0".
• Click Apply and restart your computer.

Changing the value to "0" won't automatically reduce the display brightness of your computer.
