Windows 10: why does it say printer offline in Windows 10?

why does it continue to say printer offline in Windows 10 when printer is set as default.

Printer on Windows 10 says its offline when it is not.

• Select 'Devices and Printers'

Printers say (Offline) W-10

Oops They are both connected via WiFi and they worked fine at one time...... I'll check the advice you suggested.....

Bummer just checked and ran Troubleshoot and it told me to turn the printer on. (Which it was) So I tried to do a test print and got a message saying printer is OFFLINE..... So running Troubleshoot did no good...
