  1. Why does it take 4 or 5 clicks to see available WiFi Networks on Windows 11 ? Very Annoying

I switch WiFi networks several times per day to access different network security zones in my work environment. The WiFi icon on the task bar is the first of 5 click to see available WiFi networks, instead of the only-required-click on all other Windows versions. Is there a way to get the WiFi Symbol in the task bar to show WiFi networks with a single click ? This is really annoying.

    :)

and I also ran the NirSoft WiFiInfo tool I mentioned earlier to show relative signal strengths.

Are you getting a lot of fading in & out of WiFi signal strength by any chance? Are you on 2.4GHz or 5GHz? Is fading what's leading to the symptoms you see?
You can monitor fading by watching the Taskbar, Network icon or by using NirSoft WiFiInfo tool, which I find easier because [as in my illustration] it can be sorted by signal strength so you can see networks flicking up & down the list.

Windows 11 available on October 5

    I have the following
    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X (not supported)
    • TPM: 2.0 (enabled in Hyper-V)
I downloaded the Windows 11 beta insider ISO last week and successfully installed it into a VM using Hyper-V.

I downloaded the Windows 11 release official ISO and tried to install it into a VM using Hyper-V. I got the message:

Why does it take 4 or 5 clicks to see available WiFi Networks on Windows 11 ? Very Annoying [IMG]

    Update:
My mistake. I forgot to set the number of CPU cores. Windows 11 required at least 2 cores. After I changed it to 4 (default=1) Windows 11 installed fine in Hyper-V.

If I run the PC Health Check from within Windows 11 I still get this:

Laptop won't show list of available networks

We suggest checking the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your laptop.

    Please follow these steps:

    • Click the Windows logo.
    • Go to Settings (gear icon).
    • Select Network and Internet.
    • Then Wi-Fi.
    • Make sure the Wi-Fi radio button is On.
    • Select Show available networks, then you'll be able to see the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

Update us with the outcome so we provide further assistance.
