  1. Why does Microsoft family safety automatically lock my son's laptop when I turn on limits...

We recently purchased new laptops for our kids and my son's Lenovo automatically locks when I turn on limits. No limit has been reached. If I turn limits off I can sign in just fine. If I turn limits on it auto locks regardless of the time left. Please help. I need to be able to limit and moderate his computer.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Family Safety: Time limits and screen locking

I recently set up my son's computer with family safety, and I have him limited to 3 hours of total screen time per weekday. I have told him that when he gets up to go outside, eat, or whatever to lock his computer - but it appears that the time he's away is counting toward his total time as well, which defeats the purpose of screen locking IMO. I've scoured Microsoft and the forums to see if screen lock time counts toward computer time in the family safety feature, but have found absolutely nothing. Does anyone out there know for sure, and if so can you post references?
    Thanks.

  3. Connect son's computer with Microsoft Family Safety

Hello, my son got his own computer. How do we connect the computer to Microsoft Family Safety? The main account will be his own account (I do not want to create my account on his computer). Is it possible to still connect it to Microsoft Family Safety that I manage, or it is not possible unless the admin account on my son's computer is mine? If it is impossible, is there still a way to limit his exposure to mature content? Thank you,

Family safety time limits windows 10

We are having the same issue. The time limits that I had setup for my child worked fine on Windows 8 and 8.1. The Windows 10 version of Family Safety DOES NOT WORK.

I have already updated my Window Live account and Family Safety to show my sons' device (Dell Laptop) running with Windows 10. So, the correct device and operating system is showing for my son when I login to my Windows Live account and click on Family.
And, I've already reset all of the limits and features listed for my son within Family Safety to ensure that the correct settings were applied to his Windows 10 PC. But, the time limits are NOT working. Either he's able to stay on his computer regardless
of his time limits and curfew times or Windows tells him that he's out of time when his curfew time is still hours away.

My son just spent all night last night playing on his computer. He will be falling asleep in class this week, since this all nighter has now thrown his sleep schedule off. I trusted that his computer would be inaccessible after his curfew (like it was
with Windows 8 and 8.1) and I went to bed allowing my son to keep his computer in his room. Now, I know that I can no longer trust Windows Family Safety to function properly.
