Why does Microsoft have such bad support for the win10 Xbox app and how it utilizes the xvd file system on pc hard drives.

So I had installed a brand new 6tb Western digital black hard drive to install my games too only a month ago.

Now I can see all of my 10 hard drives icons disappear from the pc for a few seconds then reappear again several

times within a few minutes every day.

Now harddisk sentinal shows the only 6tb hard drive that the xbox app is installed for as having lost communications

between the disk and the hostos 4599 times but no other issues with any of the other 9 drives in the system.

I have just gone through my pc and uninstalled every game I do not own from MS and the issue has not reoccured.

Going to cancel my xbox game pass as it is not worth one $ if it is going to kill a $211 hard drive .

Xbox One App on Win10 cannot find Xbox One

Desperate for some help here, I'm really starting to pull my hair out over this one. I've exhausted all of the online troubleshooting tips I can find.

Xbox One App on Win10 can't find my Xbox One. I try to enter the IP Address manually, and it still "can't find" the Xbox One. The most frustrating part is that I can ping the Xbox One
from my Win10 machine. I'm at a total loss. Every other similar app works on my network EXCEPT the Microsoft Xbox One apps (my Roku remote app from my phone works fine, so does the Xfinity app, and Nest, and Alexa, and everything else). The Xbox One app
on my Android phone (OP3) stopped working as well. It was working when I first installed it, but now it "can't find" the Xbox One, either.

I've tried:

• Power-cycling Xbox One, PC, Networking equipment multiple times
• Updating Xbox One App, Win10, Xbox One, networking firmware
• Double/triple-checking settings on Xbox One allowing apps to connect
• Double/triple-checking settings on DDWRT WRT54GL router and Unifi AP (every other non-Microsoft device/app pair works fine)

The Win10 machine has an IP: 192.168.1.130 and the Xbox One has 192.168.1.119. Again, I can actually ping the Xbox One from my Win10 machine, yet the app "can't find" the Xbox.

Any help? Please?

XBox app crashes on launch in Windows 10

Thank you for posting your response.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app on your computer and check.
Follow the steps provided below.

• 
  Type Windows Powershell in search box.
  
• 
  Right click on Windows Powershell and select
  Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Copy and paste the following command.
  
  • get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp* | remove-appxpackage
• 
  Press Enter key.
  

After uninstalling the Xbox app, I suggest you to download and install the app again and check.
